Pinnacle Systems, who are well known
for their Studio range of home video editing products, have just released
this new product to enable easy production and distribution of personal
video greetings over the Internet. You do not need to understand the intricacies
of Web Streaming, or to have a Web Site to accomplish this, and the
recipient needs no special software or Internet skills in order to view
your movie, just a basic knowledge of handling e-mails.
There are no cards to install in your computer either. If you have a USB port on your PC or laptop, then just plug in the special capture module and start making movies! As we have come to expect from the Studio stable, the fun does not stop there. It is also possible to create movies on your hard drive or CDR/CDRW, in a variety of formats (.avi, .mpg, and .rm), in resolutions up to 320x240. You can also capture stills from any video source, at resolutions up to 1500x1125 (interpolated), and use the capture module (with video camera) to join video conferences over the Internet, using programs such as Microsoft's Netmeeting.
