This site has increased in size over the last year to the point where it needed a local search facility. Since my Web Host does not offer any server-side 'search' processing, or support for user-generated CGI/ Perl scripts, I have been looking for a decent web-based service. At last I have found one - the award-winning Google Engine, and I have now embedded this within my site. Like all web-based crawlers, it can take a couple of weeks for new site information to be added to its database, but this should not be a problem because the very latest site updates are included in the 'What's New' page anyway. Using the query box above, you can search across the WWW, or just the local pages at Sparky's World. I was amazed at the thoroughness of this search - it even found stuff that I had forgotten about, and haven't seen for over a year! It is so thorough in fact, that it even responds to every instance of words like 'time'. If a local search does not turn up what you are looking for, then I can assure you it isn't here. Although Google have let me customise their results page to compliment the style of this site, there are no navigation buttons so, unless you click on one of their 'results links', you will have to use your browser 'BACK' button if you want to return here.
